I was selected as one of 12 artists to take part in the 2025 Shard Light Sequence, a group spanning different disciplines and mediums, from painters and poets to illustrators and digital artists.

My design for The Shard’s 2025 Spire Lights draws on kaleidoscopic patterns inspired by London itself, rooted in the structure and rhythm of traditional mosaics found across diverse cultural spaces and historic interiors. The city is a layered mix of cultures, colours and stories, and the piece reflects that shared energy. It combines bold, large scale geometry with finer cultural motifs, brought together through the warmth and vibrancy of Christmas.

I worked with lighting designers to translate the concept onto the Shard’s spire, developing detailed mock-ups to test how it would read at height and distance. The colour palette was then refined to increase contrast and visibility, ensuring the final sequence felt striking and legible across the skyline.
